This page tells you how to change your e-mail address within Evite, whether or not you currently have an Evite account.

First, you already have created an Evite account. Log into your Evite account (assuming you are not already logged in). If you have multiple Evite accounts created using different e-mail addresses, you should log using the e-mail address you want your Evites to be sent to.

At the top of screen, there will be a menu of options that begin with "my invitations  |  my ecards." Click on "my info." Under "Email Address," it will say "Have multiple accounts on Evite or email addresses you would like to add to this account?" Click on "Add Email or Merge Accounts."

The screen will now say "combine multiple evite accounts or add email addresses to your account." Enter any other e-mail addresses you want to add to your account.

(If you have an account associated with the new e-mail address you are entering (i.e., you have two Evite accounts, each associated with a different e-mail address), by entering the new e-mail address (at least new as far as this Evite account is concerned), you will be merging your two Evite accounts into one. Once you merge two accounts, you can never unmerge them. I don't see this as a problem since I don't see any purpose in having two separate Evite accounts, since the primary purpose of having an Evite account in the first place is to consolidate all of your Evite invitations in one place.)

Evite will then send a confirmation e-mail to the new e-mail address you have created. That e-mail will have a subject line of "Adding Another Email Address to Your Account." Click on the link in the e-mail.

It will then take you to a Web page that says "The update to your Evite account is being processed." It will tell you that you need not wait while it is updating, but I tend to be conservative so I would recommend that you wait the 10 or 15 seconds it takes to update.

Once you have added a second e-mail address to your account, you can repeat the process and add as many e-mail addresses to your account as your would like.

To repeat one important point — When you log into your Evite account to add additional e-mail addresses, if you have other Evite accounts associated with other e-mail addresses, you will be merging accounts. You should log in using the e-mail address you want your Evite invitations to be sent to.

If you have two or more e-mail addresses associated with an Evite account and you want to delete one of them, choose "my info" at the top of the screen. Click on "Add Email or Merge Accounts." It will then list all of the e-mail addresses that are associated with your account. Simply select "Delete" for the address you want to delete.

If you want to simply change your e-mail from X to Y and you have an account associated with X, log into your account and then add Y. Then delete X.

If you have multiple e-mail addresses associated with an account, even if someone sends invitaitons to all of your e-mail addresses, Evite will only send an invitation to your primary e-mail address (the address listed first).
